The club reluctantly accepts and respects Gavin Allen’s decision to step down as manager of Pontypridd United Men’s Team for personal reasons following our game vs Carmarthen Town FC on Saturday 9th November 2024.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Gavin for his hard work and dedication during his time at Pontypridd United. His leadership and expertise have been instrumental in guiding the team through a challenging period and laying the foundation for future success.
Since his arrival in January 2024, where he led our team in the Cymru Premier, Gavin has been first class in managing the transition between the leagues; rebuilding a competitive team to compete in the Cymru South, as shown by us now only being 3 points off top of the league.
We can also confirm the departure of assistant manager Josh Anderson, who’s moved onto pursue another management opportunity.
Our board, players, staff and all those who support Pontypridd United wish Gavin & Josh every success in the future.
The new management team will be announced in due course. In the meantime, let’s hope we can give Gavin the send-off he deserves in his final two league games. We are confident that the club will continue to thrive and achieve great things in the future.
