Pontypridd United Football Club can confirm that Manager Andrew Stokes and Assistant Manager Danny Thomas have stepped down from their roles with immediate effect.
The duo was appointed at the start of the 2022/23 season following the club’s promotion to the JD Cymru Premier. Andrew and Danny led the club to a hugely successful inaugural campaign in the Welsh topflight, accumulating 41 points and securing a further season in the Cymru Premier for the 2023/24 season.
On his departure, Andrew said, “It has been an honour and privilege to lead the team during my tenure and notably leading the club to an eight-place finish in our first ever year in the Cymru Premier.”
“I have hugely appreciated the support of the board, ambassadors, sponsors, club officials, players and staff.”
“I am confident that the club will continue to thrive, and I wish Pontypridd United Football Club the very best in all future endeavours.”
Danny Thomas said “I will be forever grateful for the opportunity you gave me to be part of the history of this club and to meet some wonderful people along the way."
"The memories and successes we've had will live with me forever."
"I wish the club all the best for the future and will follow the progress as a supporter from here on in.”
